With microalbuminuria?

ACE inhibitor, or ARB first line.

Without microalbuminuria?

Any of the following:

  • ACE inhibitor
  • ARB
  • DHP calcium channel blocker
  • Thiazide-like diuretic (may need ACEi or ARB for vascular protection)
